The Withington Pool, a stunning Edwardian venue in South Manchester, has become a regular addition to the BN North West Region’s list of skinny-dipping locations. As Thursday draws to a close at Nudefest, I’m writing this update from out in the field, surrounded by warm evening air and the sound of tonight’s headline act—Ed Sheeran’s Songbook—filling the site. It’s been a day that was both absolutely scorching and absolutely packed. The day began with the usual dose of fitness and yoga, but things quickly escalated with jaw-dropping circus acts in the big top, including genuine knife-throwing—with Pam bravely standing in front of the board. Nudefest really came to life yesterday with the first full day of activities. The sun made its presence felt, some of us have the tan lines (or not!) to prove it, but the high spirits and energy didn’t falter for a moment. The main field has been a hive of activity all day, filled with classic games, enthusiastic participants, and live music setting the tone. Meanwhile, the marquees haven’t been quiet either.
