They explore the ideas behind Victoria’s books Naked Feminism and Economica, including the powerful connection between women’s bodily freedom and their economic freedom.
Victoria also discusses using her own body in art and political protest, including her recent month-long naked protest against Brexit, where the roll of a die determined what she wore each day. The protest symbolised the loss of choice she believes Brexit has brought.
Helen and Victoria also talk about body awareness, the scrutiny placed on women’s bodies and why the freedom to exist without shame, judgement or control remains such an important feminist issue.
