HOUGHTON LODGE GARDENS NATURIST EVENING AND BARBEQUE
Following the success of last year’s barbeque evening at Houghton Lodge Gardens we have arranged another BBQ on Wednesday 10th June 2026 the gardens will open for naturist visitors from 5.30 pm and will remain open until 8.30 pm. The gardens themselves are a delightful mixture of formal planting and more natural settings, and include direct access to the banks of the River Test.
For the BBQ we will have - Beef Burger, sausages, herb salad and crisps the cost is £30 which includes the BBQ and admission to the gardens, we’ll have a cash bar selling wine, beer and soft drinks.
Bookings for the Barbeque can now be made by emailing applerooms@houghtonlodge.co.uk telling them you want to book the BN barbeque on Wednesday 10th June and they will send you an invoice for payment through Stripe a confirmation email/ticket will then be sent to you on receipt of the payment. The cost of the barbeque which includes admission to the gardens is £30 (plus an admin charge of 65p)
If you do not wish to participate in the barbeque no pre-booking is required. You can simply pay on arrival using either cash or card. Admission to the gardens is £11.50
During the evening there will be another Treasure Hunt organised by Maddy Dawe.
There is ample parking available at the gardens, which are located close to Stockbridge in Hampshire. You can find more information about the gardens on the website If you would like to stay at the gardens and join other naturist events in the area they have accommodation available see The Apple Rooms - self catering accomodation near Stockbridge
On Tuesday 9th June we have the joint BN / Naturist Ramblers Redshoot walk in the New Forest and on Thursday 11th June another joint walk from Dunbridge followed in the evening with a naked dinner and skittles at Dunbridge.
Whilst the Houghton Lodge team are very supportive of naturism, they ask that visitors remain dressed until they are inside the gardens - there will be an area to undress and leave clothes inside the gardens. Thank you for your understanding on this point.

In person meetup of the BN Coffee Morning and Book & Media Club at Sunfolk.
On Sunday 28th June we are planning an ‘In Person’ get together at British Naturism Sunfolk for everyone who has ever attended any of these online gatherings. This will be a chance to meet in real life those people that, until now you have only met on Zoom.
As people will be traveling from a number of different locations, there is no particular time when you need to be there, so simply turn up whenever it suits you and look out for group of people talking noisily and hopefully you will recognise some familiar faces.
Sunfolk has an excellent kitchen for all to use, which has shared fridges to store food. There are also tea and coffee making facilities with snacks and drinks for available for sale.
Sunfolk is situated at The Spinney, Hazel Road, Park Street, St Albans, AL2 2AJ. Come off at Junction 21A of the M25
To visit Sunfolk for the day you need to book in advance. The cost of a day visit is £15 for BN members and £20 for non-BN members. Book at https://sunfolk.bn.org.uk.
We can’t say for certain what the weather will be like on the day, but given Sunfolk’s large, comfortable clubhouse, the hot tub, sauna and covered pool, there will be plenty of places where we can socialise if it is cloudy or wet.
So, if you can make it on that day, then it would be lovely to see you. And please feel free to bring a friend, boyfriend, girlfriend or partner.
If you have any questions, you can contact me through the BN forum messaging system, Name Tony Evans.
Hope to see there,
Tony

Leonardslee Gardens Naked Heart Walk
A clothing-optional walk in the gardens at Leonardslee, near Horsham raising funds for the British Heart FoundationLeonardslee Gardens Naked Heart Walk
Join us for a relaxed evening at the beautiful Leonardslee Gardens on June 28, 2026 at 6:00 PM (BST). It's the perfect chance to enjoy a peaceful clothing-optional walk surrounded by stunning nature and connect with others in a fun, casual way. Whether you're coming solo or with friends, this event promises a refreshing outdoor experience you won’t want to miss!
The Challenge
Leave your clothes behind and feel the breeze on your skin as you raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation.
The Naked Heart Walks are organised by British Naturism to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and all participants will receive:
Completion certificate. A BHF medal can be purchased (£5) at the end of the walk. A fundraising link and regular emails to keep you on track. Full support from the British Heart Foundation to help you reach your target. Why not make use of the Just Giving page set up that you can link your own page to, and send details of it to all your friends, family, and contacts so they can donate and sponsor your amazing Naked Walk? Don’t be shy about it. Be brave and tell as many people as you can. It’s surprising how many people will donate to such a well-known, deserving charity, when they know you are doing something, which to them seems, ridiculous.
The British Heart Foundation
Heart and circulatory diseases are the world’s biggest killers, and they can affect any of us, including you. But thanks to the research that the British Heart Foundation is funding, there is hope. By backing the brightest scientific minds, we have the power to find treatments and cures that could make the difference between your parents living to old age or not, your friend making it to graduation or not, your sister being a phone call away or not.
This event is a bold one, just like our ambition to fund the science that keeps millions of hearts beating. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for signing up for the Naked Heart Walk and fundraising.
Discover a magical world in miniature at the famous Beyond the Dolls’ House exhibition!
This extensive collection depicts the Edwardian estate and neighbouring villages at 1:12 scale, with landscapes and characters acting out day-to-day activities. Exquisite in detail and accuracy, a six-foot-tall person is recreated as six inches in height.
Tickets for this event are sold through Eventbrite. You will be able to purchase tickets from Eventbrite by following the link below:

High Beeches Garden
With 27 acres of woodland, water gardens, and a collection of rare, exotic and award-winning plants, High Beeches Garden is one of Sussex's finest gardens and is home to a plant collection that includes specimens from many parts of the world. It's a hidden gem in the High Weald of West Sussex. A botanical treasure trove and classic English idyll make it one of the most wonderful woodland gardens in the South East.
No advance booking. The garden will be open exclusively for naturists. Non-naturist partners/friends welcome. Please undress in the carpark.
Accessibility
Please be aware that High Beeches is a woodland garden and the paths throughout are unmade and uneven. They are also sloping in places and can be slippery when wet, wheelchairs are not recommended.
Disabled parking bays and toilet are available. There are benches situated throughout the garden. Please ensure you wear appropriate footwear, as paths can be slippery when wet.
Admission £12.00 (card payment preferred). Ice creams, home-made cakes, hot and cold drinks available.
Further information 07486 424068. Gardens website https://www.highbeeches.com/

Review by a previous visitor:
This was my first time visiting High Beeches and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather cleared up in time for the start and I ended up being one of the first through the gate (and about the last to leave). The gardens are lovely with various paths, ponds and meadow areas. The paths are a mixture of gravel and grass which can be steep in places as the grounds are basically a small valley with a stream down the middle. The gardens are well kept and you disrobe in the car park which is all hidden from view of the road. It wasn’t very busy (mainly due to the weather earlier I think and the temperature was not what you’d expect for July) but it was great to have the run of the place and to just leave everything in the car. There are plenty of seats all around the site for those who need rests.
Thank you to the organisers!! Definitely recommended if you like getting back to nature.
