The benefits of Naturism are understood and the opportuniti

  11. 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of British Naturism/CCBN, an organisation that sprung from the unification of the British Sun Bathers Association and the Federation of British Sun Clubs.  The history of Naturism in the UK goes back even further and 2024 marks the centenary of Sunlight League and formation of The Camp in Wickford, Essex, the first Naturist Club in the UK. This longevity is achieved by one thing – the members who practise Naturism.  For this reason, the first activity we are

  13. Over the last five years we have seen an increase in openness about Naturism.  Historically, people didn’t want to be photographed in a Naturist environment for fear that somebody might see, these days we find most people at events are not only happy but keen to be in pictures that might be used publicly to share this part of their lives.  We know that many people are open about Naturism with friends, family and colleagues, but we all know some friends that are not.  Moreover, the IPSOS poll tol

  16. After a busy year, it's time for an update! Most readers will know that BN has been working with national charity British Heart Foundation for a few years now, and collaborating on two initiatives aimed at raising funds and introducing more people to the wonderful world of social nudity, namely the Great British Skinny Dip and Naked Heart Walks. So next Monday, 4 December, I'll be talking to members of the BN/BHF team and hear about successes in 2023 and what we can look forward to in 2024.

  18. The summer and autumn of 2023 have seen some major changes to the British Naturism Executive with many new additions and several people reaching the end of their term.  As a result, several long-term projects have reached fruition this year, so it is a good time to look back at what has happened.   Engagement Over three years we have been building communication, both with members and with other interested bodies. 20. I’m sitting in a pub on a cold, Tuesday evening in November in East London, writes Colin Taylor. There’s a few other folk here but it's not busy. 10 minutes to go before the doors open for this evening’s BN Naked Comedy Night. Usually, Naturists turn up well before the advertised start time of an event. “Where are they all?” I texted a friend. I nip to the loo and when I emerge there is a queue the length of the pub to get through to the upstairs venue! An eclectic mix of three acts enterta
