We are delighted to announce the co-option of Colin Taylor as the new Chair of British Naturism. Colin’s recent retirement has freed up the time to commit to issues that he is passionate about and central to those is Naturism, which Colin says he has benefitted from greatly. Colin’s professional background was in the ambulance service as a Paramedic and latterly holding various posts within Quality and Safety, including Head of Risk Management. He was a school governor of a local primary sc

If you’ve ever wondered if Wales is a no-go area for Naturism, wonder no more! There are all kinds of events going on, and who better to talk about what’s happening in South Wales than Linda, BN’s SE Wales representative, part of BN's South West region. Says Linda, BN members enjoyed a great social calendar in 2023 that included “canal boat trips, a visit to Gilston Manor Gardens (where we were treated to a guided tour of the gardens and some of the manor house which was finished off with a

Wow! What a weekend it was at The Suncliff Hotel Bournemouth for the first major BN LIVE event of 2024! This was a fantastic short break that showered FUN and EXCITEMENT from the off. Eagerly we entered the premises, to see so many smiling faces greeting us as we approached reception. The process was unbelievably smooth and so, with our dining preferences sorted and photo wristbands collected, the weekend had started. Eventually, ‘Clothes-Off’ time arrived, signalling us to free ourselv

We like to bring you news stories of forthcoming events - it spreads the word, encourages more people to book and shows just how vibrant the Naturist scene is in the UK. However - I'm happy to say - there are far too many to promote them all individually and so here is a complete list of all the events happening over just the next couple of weeks. Enjoy! And don't forget that we are always looking for reports on great gatherings for the magazine and elsewhere... Club Naturel Swim

“Spring Break” means one thing to American college students: a trip to some sunny beach, days of partying - and general mayhem. For we Naturists, however, it means a fantastic four-day break in Blackpool packed with indoor and outdoor activities, with lots of opportunities for social nudity. This year’s 18-22 March Spring Break again takes place at the comfortable President Hotel, which overlooks the prom in North Shore. It offers gorgeous sea views from the restaurant and a cabaret lounge

British Naturism is a busy, active, meaningful organisation and does a huge amount of work in persuading the outside world to accept Naturism, to normalise nudity, and to encourage people to try it for themselves. We're really good at it! The more members we have the more we can do, and showing that our numbers are growing opens many doors. Our Ipsos poll showed that there are millions of Naturists in the UK. Plenty of Naturists are active in clubs and swims around the UK. Why aren't they

We’re well on the way to completing the major project to redevelop the Sunfolk site in St Albans that BN were privileged to be able to take on back in 2020, and we’re looking forward to reopening the site to BN members and other Naturists later this year. If you can’t wait until then and would like a ‘sneak peek’ at what has been going on, then you might want to join one of the tours of the site which will be held in February. The tours will be held at 09:30, 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 on

Talking about Naturism and being open about our involvement in it helps to normalise social nudity. Many people report feeling relieved that people around them know - and can be a real confidence-booster. Bringing the subject up and knowing what to say can still sometimes be difficult and so we have created this set of suggestions to help you. In Part 1 we identified a range of ways that you can introduce Naturism into conversation if you wish. In Part 2, we covered the sort of positive m

The Forum Live Debate has been the engine behind much of what British Naturism is doing. In the second half of 2023 alone we discussed prospective campaigns, discussion that led to us launching several new campaigns for this year, many of which are already well developed. We discussed how to talk about Naturism, a discussion that was distilled into the recent set of articles and will soon be available in the downloads. We kick off 2024 by thinking about personal aspirations. What are our i

The 2023 Eventbrite marketing report has revealed a fascinating surge in interest in nude recreation. Eventbrite is a global ticketing platform selling 300 million tickets per year for events ranging from music festivals to marathons to charity fundraisers - including our own Naked Heart Walks. As such, it is one of the largest mainstream ticket providers. Eventbrite’s 2023 analysis of trends reported “UK events mentioning the word ‘naked’ (like naked yoga, for example), jumped 32% in

Anyone who uses the internet regularly will know that you can't get away from people and companies trying to sell you things. There are some sites that feel like 99% advertising and 1% actual content. We also feature advertisements (although amongst some great content...) across the range of BN platforms but we want to encourage you to check them out. Advertising space is taken by Naturists for Naturists. Let’s support each other and make sure those businesses thrive! Don’t forget to

Have you ever wanted an otherworldly Naturist experience? On the 4th February, that is exactly what we will be doing as British Naturism takes over Tank Space, the UK’s foremost water photography studio. Tank Space features a 10,000L dive tank where you can be photographed underwater and a 380sqft rain area so you can literally go dancing naked in the rain, but the rain is warm and it will be captured on camera. Based near Mansfield, Tank Space is frequently used for music videos and televisi
