British Naturism will take over Fell Foot Wood for another back-to-basics camping experience.
Fellfoot Wood is a working woodland and is stunningly beautiful. It is two minutes from the National Trust's Fell Foot Park and the banks of Windermere.
It will be a laid-back affair focusing on nature, wellness and natural healing - plus there will be some live entertainment too.
Woodlandia is a back-to-basics woodland experience with plenty of opportunities to relax, meditate and take some time to connect with the earth, mind, body and soul.
Daily earth ceremonies, meditation and massage are available throughout the weekend. There is still an opportunity for a short Naturist fell walk, and a chance to skinny dip in a local tarn, but the focus of the event is moving away from the walking elements compared to the former woodland weekend, with more on-site activities and musical elements.
Each night, we open the 'bar in the barn' with local Lakeland ales and ciders.
An eclectic mix of live music, combined with some fun and games and a roaring fire, makes for some memorable nights.
Fell Foot Wood sits near Ulverston and offers a quiet woodland setting with open clearings, gentle paths and plenty of space to relax. You spend time among trees, listen to birds, and enjoy wide views toward the hills and even a glimpse of Windermere through the trees. The site feels calm and private, which suits a naturist gathering well. The layout of Fell Foot Wood keeps everything close, centring around a glade and barn while still giving you plenty of room to camp and wander.
Woodlandia is a back-to-basics event. The site is beautiful, but the facilities are limited as Fell Foot Wood is 100% off-grid.
There are fixed flushing toilets near the barn. Drinking water must be brought to the site, or it is available to buy at the barn.
Showers are available at the Active Base at Fell Foot Park, a five-minute walk away. The site is solar powered.
Camping-wise, Fell Foot Wood is limited to tents and panel van campers only. Due to the steep inclines, motorhomes and caravans are not permitted.

Club Naturel are organising an INFORMAL Naturist visit to Fullers Mill, West Stow, Bury St Edmunds, IP28 6HD. Fullers Mill is an enchanting and tranquil seven-acre creation on the banks of the River Lark. It combines a beautiful site of light dappled woodland with a plantsman’s collection of unusual shrubs, perennials, lilies, and marginal plants. It is a garden of truly year-round interest. The garden was created by the late Bernard Tickner MBE (1924-2017). He moved to Fullers Mill in 1958 and spent over 50 years creating the garden you see today from rough scrub and woodland. In 2004, Bernard and his wife Bess donated the garden to The Fullers Mill Trust, a registered charity, which was established to manage the garden and to ensure its future. In 2013, the garden was gifted to Perennial, for its long-term preservation. Our team of gardeners and volunteers now maintain the garden for the enjoyment of visitors from April to October.
The fee for this event is £15 per person, pre-booked only.
Perennial and Club Naturel disclaims any and all liability for any loss, damage or injury occasioned by an accident or incident.
Assistance Dogs: The garden only allows assistance dogs. Family dogs or other pets are not allowed.
We recommend wearing comfortable, sturdy footwear to help you enjoy exploring the garden’s natural paths and uneven surfaces safely.
Wheelchair Access
Please be advised that due to the garden's uneven surfaces, grassed areas, proximity to water and sloping ground, disabled access is limited in some areas. You will be given a map on arrival which shows these areas.
Refreshments
Our Bothy Tea Room offers a selection of hot and cold drinks and cold savoury and sweet snacks, including sausage rolls, cakes, traybakes, cookies and ice creams. (gluten free and vegan catered for) DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINK!
Please let me know should you have dietary requirements so I can inform the staff.
Gift Shop
We stock a large range of contemporary giftware, cards, stationery and gifts for gardeners, including our range of Fullers Mill inspired gifts
Plants Sales
Plants are available for sale in the plant sales area, including some which have been propagated from the garden.
On Site Parking
Limited Parking is adjacent to the garden, with accessible parking spaces available.
Toilets
Toilet facilities including Accessibe Toilet are located behind the tearoom and shop.
If you would like any further information, please visit their website: perennial.org.uk
