  14. Three Rivers Outdoor Club is a naturist caravan and camping club. It has operated in Northumberland, Durham, Cumbria and Yorkshire since it was formed in 1982. The group obtained exemption status from DEFRA (now Natural England) under the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act (1960) and the Public Health Act (1936) to rally and camp on green field land, without the need to obtain planning permission or a site licence for these meetings.
