In December we held our second session at the Village Pottery in SE London. Julie our great host and tutor ramped up the heating to 26c on a cold wet day. The event was a sell out with a mixture of young and less young (!) potters. This time Robert Finney offered his knowledge so three of us had a go at using the wheel. Despite soaking me in clay every time they threw down the clay these first timers did really well making some accomplished pots.
The rest of us made some decorative tea light holders which was fun and within the capability of all. Once again there were some excellent pieces constructed and decorated. Time flew by completely and it was good that some of us managed to meet up in a pub for a longer chat afterwards.
Julie and myself have already started planning for another session in 2026. Watch out for the tickets as we sold out this time.
