Spielplatz Naturist Resort's season opener was a success, writes Andrew Welch
Despite poor weather, around 25 visitors, along with weekend campers, members and residents, came to enjoy a new concept (though not to guests of the many British Naturism events!), a day full of activities to get stuck into.
That pesky weather (the heatwave started exactly seven days later) meant that only the bravest were stripped off, but there was a terrific friendly, happy atmosphere and guests thoroughly enjoyed (mostly indoor) sessions dedicated to life drawing and sketching, line dancing, poi spinning, miniten tasters, metal detecting, a gong/sound bath and a quiz. A hearty BBQ was served at lunchtime on the 'village green'. There was also a narrated tour of our 12-acre site, an archive of photos and articles, and a film of Spielplatz' many appearances on screen on a loop. Tea, cakes and our well-stocked bar were available all day, as were our large open-air heated pool and hot tub.
We're already starting to plan another activity day in 2027, so keep your eyes peeled for details! In the meantime, booking is open for our Summer Solstice Art Show weekend on 20 June.
