As members of British Naturism, we all enjoy the many benefits that membership brings. From events and community to advocacy and support, it enriches our Naturist lives in countless ways. But for some, enjoyment goes further. It means stepping up, getting involved and helping to make the things we love happen.
Naturism is about creating a more open, respectful world. Knowing that you can help make that change, and positively impact people’s lives, is incredibly rewarding. That is why volunteering with British Naturism continues to be such a vital and popular part of our organisation.
There are many ways to get involved. Some members help sustain Sunfolk through practical support. Others host local events or simply offer a welcoming face to newcomers. Every contribution matters. Yet for those who want to make an even greater impact, there are leadership opportunities that place you right at the heart of decision-making.
We are currently seeking volunteers for three important roles:
This is a key governance position supporting the Executive Committee. Committee members will tell you that an effective minute taker makes an enormous difference to what British Naturism can achieve. Strong attention to detail, experience of minute-taking, and the ability to remain impartial and maintain confidentiality are essential.
All organisations must manage their finances carefully. This role supports oversight of British Naturism’s accounts, helping to ensure members’ money is used wisely and effectively. While our bookkeeper handles day-to-day record keeping, this position plays a crucial role in connecting financial information to the wider committee and supporting informed decision-making.
A senior leadership role, the Finance Director oversees the organisation’s financial affairs and contributes to overall financial strategy. This position requires significant financial management experience and ideally formal accountancy qualifications. It carries responsibility, but also genuine influence in shaping the long-term sustainability of British Naturism.
Stepping into one of these roles will make a real and lasting difference to the future of the organisation. By volunteering, you help ensure that Naturism continues to grow, flourish and reach more people across the UK.
