When the new Ironic Clothing store launched, products were divided into three collections:
• The British Naturism Line
• The Ironic Line
• The Festival Line
But there has always been a fourth line waiting in the wings.
British Naturism believes in supporting communities that continue to face exclusion, prejudice and misunderstanding. Every human being has value. Our differences make us interesting, not lesser, and society benefits when people stand together in support of equality and respect.
Two of the clearest examples of that commitment are the Women in Naturism campaign and our ongoing support for the LGBTQ+ community through Pride events and partnerships. These groups still face barriers and disadvantages in wider society, and Naturism has always stood for challenging unfairness and promoting genuine acceptance – we all deserve Parity.
The Parity Line is the more values-driven collection within the Ironic Clothing store. It is an opportunity to visibly support these campaigns and the principles behind them. It allows us to say clearly that equality, inclusion and mutual respect matter.
This year, British Naturism will be supporting the LGBTQ+ community by taking part in Brighton Pride, marching alongside those who share those same values. The new Pride shirts will help identify our group during the event, with versions available both with and without the iconic Palace Pier design.
Our annual Pride event will also take place at Sunfolk this year. Weather permitting, many of us will enjoy the event in the Naturist way, but for those wanting to show their support and feel even more part of the occasion, the new shirts are available now.
The Women in Focus campaign has also gained growing international recognition, sharing conversations with inspirational women from around the world through podcasts and written features. The new Women in Naturism shirts, which include longer T-shirt dresses, allow supporters to visibly stand behind those same principles of representation, confidence and inclusion.
Naturism is about far more than simply taking your clothes off. At its heart, it is about respect: for ourselves, for one another and for the diversity of humanity.
The Parity Line reflects those values. Join us in promoting the principles that guide our community.
