Nudefest 2026: All Creatures Great and Small

The countdown to Nudefest has now started in earnest, so it seems a good time to give you a peek behind the curtain at some of the things we have planned in addition to the well-publicised headlines.

The cider bar has always been popular at Nudefest, thanks in no small part to our location. Over the years we've run trips to cider farms and cider brandy producers to learn a bit more about where the local produce comes from.

We see the orchards. We see the pressing. We see the fermenting process.

But what is the essential step before all of that?

This is where things get a little bonkers.

A strong apple harvest is absolutely dependent on effective pollination by bees. So we're doing... yes, you've guessed it...

Nude beekeeping.

We are bringing a busload of bees onto the site. What could possibly go wrong? This opportunity is linked to a conservation project that educates people about the importance of bees to life on the planet and works to protect the population.

The bees will be joining the ever-popular snake and reptile team, meaning there are going to be rather a lot of critters wandering around Nudefest this year.

If there is a catastrophic failure of the UK apple harvest this season, it is probably because we put the bees too close to the snakes and giant spiders, and they all got eaten before they could finish pollinating the orchards.

That is, of course, how nature works. Probably.

The most disturbing part of this story is that this isn't even the weirdest thing we have planned for this year.

So keep checking back for more updates. And if you're not already booked, now might be the time to get your ticket. I'm told we're running low on spaces, although admittedly nobody has confirmed whether that figure includes the bees.
