Join us for a 9 mile naturist walk starting from the South Western Outdoor Club (SWOC) at Batcombe, half-way between Dorchester and Yeovil, on Tuesday, 15th July 2024.
The walk will take in ridge tracks, farmland and wooded paths via Cerne Abbas with distant views of the famous naked Cerne Giant. The route is of moderate difficulty with several steep hills and some stiles to negotiate. A stop will be made for lunch so please bring a picnic. Tea and coffee will be available in the club house at SWOC before and after the walk, with a small charge of £5 for the use of facilities being made by the club, payable by visitors on the day.
This event follows the inaugural walk last July, organised by British Naturism South West Region in association with SWOC. It is open to all members of British Naturism and other naturist groups; anyone new to naturism or to naturist walking is welcome too. When booking, please state whether you are a member of BN, NatRam or another naturist group or club.
Camping pitches will be available at SWOC if you wish to stay before or after the walk: please contact the Club Secretary via secretaryswoc@gmail.com.
You must be fit enough to walk up to nine miles, including moderate hills.
For further information please contact Howard via howard.dymock@bn.org.uk or Geoffrey via geoffrey.ryder@bn.org.uk.

The Great South Skinny Dip is part of the Great British Skinny Dip. Thousands of people across the country will be taking part to raise money for good causes and to experience the exhileration of being naked.
Why Skinny Dip?
From mental health and body positivity to raising your heart rate and just feeling the rush of being alive, there are many, many health benefits to being naked. But, if you are looking for another reason to skinny dip, why not do it for a great cause? Our chosen charity is the mental heath charity MIND (charity reg no 219830)
The Great British Skinny Dip started in 2016 and has expanded from one event to dozens being organised around the country.
Being in a non-judgemental diverse group helps you become familiar with and accepting of all kinds of body types. Whatever you look like, you are normal, as is everyone else.
You can be as bare as you dare. If you would feel more comfortable wearing a swimsuit then you are welcome to. There will be time to strip off and store your clothes before the off and plenty of space to spread out or stay within your friends or family group when on the beach.
https://slowswimming.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/IMG_20240109_145036-1024x557.jpg The Great South Skinny Dip takes place at 1pm (meet from 12 noon) on the beach at Studland Bay. We are 1km along the sea front to the north (to the left) of the Knoll Beach National Trust car park.
https://slowswimming.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Image2-1024x421.jpg We will be meeting at 12 noon at on the beach. You will see our Slow Swimming torquoise flags and table 1km along the beach to the north of the car park.
Please make sure you have entered online first. Once signed in you will receive a wrist band that you must wear during the event.
At 1pm we will sound the horn and rush as one into the sea. Squeals and screams are bound to follow!
This year we are proud to be raising much needed funds for MIND (charity reg no 219830)
