Gary caught up with Howard recently and he said “we were blessed with unexpectedly sunny weather for the Beach Day at Studland on 16th June, especially given how cool and wet it had been up until then. The National Trust provided equipment for a leisurely hour or so of litter-picking, which somewhat depressingly resulted in three large sacks full of rubbish, so we did some good as well as meeting and chatting. The sea was not as cold as expected. Next Beach Day is Sunday, 25th August”.
