DESCRIPTION:Note: opening hours for the pub are 12 noon until 8pm.  The
	re are several picnic tables at the front of the pub\, by the road.  So g
	athering and registration can begin from 11:30 before the pub opens.  I p
	ropose we should all be ready to set off at 12:15\, to give walkers the ch
	ance for a quick drink if desired. The full walk is very nearly 12 miles\
	, so a good pace will be needed on the later sections if we are to get bac
	k to the pub for food and drinks by 18:00 or 18:30.  I can point out the 
	return path for the shorter walk as we follow the outward section. Parkin
	g on the road is very limited.Parking behind the pub is in a grassy field\
	, not in the tarmac yard.  It was firm and dry on 8 May. Join us for a 1
	2 mile* stroll on the Berkshire Downs near Goring-on-Thames.* Note: a shor
	ter version of this walk (8 miles)will be available on the day.The event s
	tart time for NatRam walks shows when walkers may begin gathering at the s
	tart point before the group sets off (usually about 20 to 30 minutes later

	new to Stark Trekkers and NatRam walks should contact the Club Secretary f
	or more information and detailed directions to the event meeting point.
