DESCRIPTION:\n	The beautiful 60 acre Evenley Wood Garden will be ours to
	 wander and enjoy &amp\; a new place for BN to visit. The setting is amazi
	ng\, listen to the birds and the sound of nature in a perfect natural envi
	ronment.  Bring a picnic and find a bench throughout the wood or use the 
	log cabin. There’s plenty of space for parking and all facilities that a
	re needed. Easy to find and ideally located just 10 minutes from the M40\,

	\n\n	Join British Natisum on our first evening visit to Evenley Wood Garde
	n\, in Northamptonshire.\n\n\n\n	Set amongst the beautiful Northamptonshir
	e countryside\, this 60-acre privately owned woodland garden contains a la
	rge and notable collection of plants\; ranging from unusual trees and shru
	bs to a wide selection of lilies and other bulbs.\n\n\n\n	Carpets of name
	d snowdrops in February run into wonderful spring bulbs and the garden’s
	 800m long Scilla ‘stream’\, as the garden jumps into life. Some 100 m
	agnolias follow and are later joined by the first flush of new leaves\, rh
	ododendrons and azaleas. In the summer\, over 300 roses and 150 lilies eme
	rge\, including Lilium ‘Evenley Jane’\, which was developed and propag
	ated on site. As the season slows down\, a wonderful display of autumn col
	ours can be seen in the leaf\, bark\, seeds and berries of the garden’s 
	plant collection\, ranging from beautiful rustic oranges and fiery reds to
	 greens\, gold and brown. Collections of particular note in the garden in
	clude oak\, pear\, apple\, maple and what is possibly the largest collecti
	on of euonymus in Europe. These sit alongside hardy bulb collections inclu
	ding lilies\, spanning all hybrid types\, scillas and snowdrops.\n\n\n\n	E
	venley’s pathways are grass or woodland floo\, and though generally nego
	tiable with a motorized mobility scooter\, problems may occur for wheelcha
	ir users (particularly in wet conditions).  Wheelchair accessible toilets
	 are avaible.\n\n\n\n	There will be no café available\, as we are a priva
	te visit\, picnics are encouraged\, though please take your rubbish home w
