This thriving nature reserve wa lk supports BHFAfter a hugely successful first year at College Lake in 20 25\, we are delighted to confirm that we are returning for 2026\, but now earlier in the year and with a later end time.Supporting more than 1\,000 different wildlife species\, College Lake is one of the Berks\, Bucks & \; Oxon Wildlife Trust's flagship nature reserves. The venue is ideal for a Naked Heart Walk as it is a circular self-guided walk on a gentle footpa th with way markers.See mapThere is a shop\, ample parking and toilets. Th ese walks are clothing optional and you are welcome to complete the walk b y yourself or join with others. There are three walks to choose from:“Ti me Trail”: 1 ¾ mile which takes you through the geology and history of the Lake“Bird Trail”: ¾ mile past five bird hides with different view s of the lake“Wild Trail”: a full 2 miles to circumnavigate the Lake ( allow 1 hr).You are welcome to bring binoculars and cameras\, but no photo graphs of people without their explicit consent. The event is for over 18s only.Due to its popularity\, and as a special concession to us\, the venu e will close early to the public but we must not arrive in the car park be fore 5:30pm. You are welcome to get undressed in the car park\, but valuab les are left at our own risk. Registration starts at 5:40pm. The site must be cleared by 9pm latest as they are staffed by volunteers and we need to be sympathetic to their time.\nNew locally produced food boxAs well as th e fabulous cake\, coffee and soft drinks offering from the café\, we have been working with the venue to also now offer something just for us. You are very welcome to bring your own picnic\, or for just £10\, you can now order a special local-produce food box\, put on specifically for this eve nt. Hearty locally made sausage roll (or vegetarian pasty)\, served with f reshly made coleslaw and salad. Perfect for that summer evening picnic\, o verlooking the beautiful nature reserve of College Lake. Simply order when you arrive (last orders 6pm)\, and it will be ready for when you return!\ nFind those clues…For those wanting to join in the fun\, there will be a treasure hunt for quiz answers as you complete the walk.
