  • Convincing My Husband!

We are new members to BN and are really enjoying all the things that go along with our membership, the Magazine, various classes and friendly online banter.  What surprised me as a female was the ratio of girls to boys within the ranks, so I am writing this to hopefully encourage more of you girls who may be either dithering or downright scared stiff of baring all!

Firstly, please don't think I have no body issues, of course I do but I don't let it stop me.  I have a belly (the middle-aged spread thing going on), boobs that get in my way, the odd stretch mark and my real Nemesis, a double chin!  The chin bothers me more than the belly, boobs and all the other imperfections, but with or without clothes the dratted chin is always on view!

So, with that in mind, I would like to give you a short preview of my own back story into being a naturist.

I was lucky enough to be raised by parents who had no qualms about me seeing them naked or me being naked when I was growing up, although this was usually in the bathroom and bedroom so naturist isn't a word I would apply to them and how they acted, more like no body 'hang ups' that they passed on to me, their one and only.

Basically, I have been naturist all my life in one way or another but only practised it out in public when the situation allowed, which in years gone by to be truthful, wasn't very often.  I tentatively introduced my husband into 'skinny dipping' on our honeymoon 20 years ago, on one of the Canary Islands.  At the time even he thought it was naughty but had to admit the feeling of freedom was genuinely nice.  After that I got him naked sunbathing, once he 'got the plot' and realised no one was actually staring at him and his dangly bits he felt right at home because they were all naked too!

Around 15 years ago we joined a local Naturist Club but it didn't really pan out for us. Back then we had a retail business to run so our 'down time' was a premium and to be honest, neither of us wanted to spend our one day off a week in clothes, big boots and macheté in hand cutting back brambles, hedges and the like as 'newbies' were expected to do, to keep the site clean and tidy for the more permanent residents who spent considerable time there.  So since then, we have done it alone either on holiday with like-minded friends or at home in our own garden.  In the early 2020 Lockdown I think I did two lots of clothes washing, BONUS!

So girls, however you may feel comfortable in having a little foray into naturism, please, please give it a try.  Remember, when 'you've seen one, you've seen 'em all' and that goes for both sexes!  No one will judge you, all they will see is the great person that you are, being bound by clothes never makes a difference to the real you.

I can honestly say we have never looked back.

    Susan A
