Established in 1958, this active club, 15 mins drive from the Roman City of Colchester, is open to members all year and to visitors from Easter to October.
We have a range of facilities including a heated swimming pool, sauna, sunlawn, two miniten courts, seven pétanque pistes, pool and table tennis, a private wood, a club house with a log burner and a pavilion with a stage.
Springwood is run by members for members who benefit from friendship and social activities throughout the year. In the summer we are open to day visitors with a view to joining, or as a destination for those who live further away as a summer break in their own tent, caravan or campervan (we are dog friendly). In addition to what’s on site, we are surrounded by beautiful countryside with public footpaths.
We especially welcome newcomers to naturism to experience the liberation that this safe environment can provide. Our Membership Secretary, Janina, will be pleased to answer any questions. Booking early in the year is recommended as we are a popular venue and all new applicants must complete three weekend visits before the end of the summer season to progress to provisional membership.
