Formed in 1987 by Suzanne and David Piper, the club has celebrated its 35th anniversary.
We arrange members only camping visits to a smallholding in the heart of Kent. Some members arrange events at their own homes including our own home which has a secluded garden within the grounds of Spielplatz. Our members receive a reduced admission to Spielplatz where there is a wide range of facilities including swimming pool, sunbathing lawns, clubhouse, licensed bar and sauna. There are normally a minimum of two club holidays abroad every year – normally to France. Our members also walk, visit beaches and meet up at such events as WNBR.
Shabden celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2022. Communicating through our bi-monthly magazine Naturist Life we arrange a variety of activities and support other groups as well as arranging overseas holidays. Discounts may be available to members who are spread throughout UK and overseas. We welcome new members. The moderate subscription covers the cost of the magazine. Shabden is a member club of British Naturism and is affiliated to ABNC. Our members are spread throughout the UK (as well as overseas – South Africa, Argentina, Australis, France, Belgium etc) and we welcome new members. The subscription covers the cost of the magazine.
