Greenacres Club is situated in the heart of the Durham countryside about seven miles from the ancient city of Durham. The club was founded in 1953 on the site of an old alms-house and has expanded into the five acre site we have now. It is ideally situated as a stopping off post when catching the ferry to Europe from North Shields and as a perfect base when exploring the northern and border counties. The club has just completed the rebuilding of the pool enclosure and added a decked sun terrace to the refurbished sauna. Although the building work is completed a small amount of cosmetic work is still to do for the grand opening in the spring.
