Follow the 'South Shore' signs to Blackpool from the M55 passing the airport, on reaching the seafront turn left. Drive South for one mile passing the 'New Thursby' care home on the beach side of the promenade. just after the next set of lights, turn right for the large St Annes north shore beach 'car park' (signposted). You can park cheaply here and there are good toilet facilities, Walk 600mts North on the beach to the area used for Naturism. This is not signposted or limited and it is council approved.

To find the location, from the end of the M55, follow the signs for the airport. Pass the airport and when you get to the end of the road turn left. (Clifton Dr North). After about half a mile, you'll see a large red brick building on your right. (New Thursby Care Home). Continue south through the traffic lights and turn right into the North Beach Car Park, FY8 2TR behind the Coast Guard Station. The What3Words location for the car park is, blows.preoccupied.lives From there you walk out to the beach and turn right. At the front of the dunes is a line of wooden posts. Every so far, numbered bins are attached to the posts. We meet just past number 5. (Blackpool side). Alternatively, if you use the What3Words App, look for woes.model.names This will take you to the right spot.
Don't forget your picnic, a windbreak if you have one, and of course your sun block. The sun is pretty fierce on the Fylde Coast Riviera.
The beach is easily accessed by public transport. The nearest rail station is Squires Gate on the Blackpool South line. It is a level 1.2 mile walk south from there. The Preston to Blackpool No.68 bus passes every 20 minutes. Alight at Norwood Road in St Annes and you are beside the entrance to the North Beach Car Park. Then follow the directions from the car park.
Paying for parking (at North Beach car park) is straightforward using the 'MiPermit' phone app (listed here). Visitors may save time if they download it in advance.
