Extract from "The World's Best Nude Beaches and Resorts", published in 2007 and provided by Nick Mayhew-Smith:
This popular and official city beach is in an area supposedly undergoing redevelopment, running in front of a long-disused military facility where plans for a new housing complex have stalled for many years. The beach is just a couple of hundred metres from a car park and a local bus route. The shore has shingle and coarse sand, so take something soft to lie on. The beach attracts a cross-section of visitors, from locals coming along with their families at the end of the day to dedicated naturist visitors, some of whom run the beach liaison group.
